In our interview, William (Bill) Rockey ‘45 speaks about his two years at Mercersburg during World War II in which his father was serving as a Marine. After his graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he held a variety of positions primarily in infantry units. Rockey is a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars, fighting overseas. He shares sharp insights and significant lessons he learned from his experience in the Marine Corps during two major wars. Rockey’s story is incredibly inspiring, and everyone can take something away from it.
